December 13, 2023
On December 13th we hosted 96 children from 19 elementary schools at the Target Store, 4125 Austell Rd., Austell Ga. The day was filled with smiles, laughs, shopping, and pictures with Santa. Many thanks to the folks at Target for their ongoing support with personnel, time and space to hold this event. In addition, many thanks to all of the Volunteers, Lodge 13 Auxiliary Members, Officers, Deputies and 911 Personnel who volunteered to shop with the kids. Finally, a special thank you to our sponsors and donors who made this event possible. Blessings to all.

December 2021
This year we were not able to take any kids shopping due to Covid restrictions. We purchased gift cards and distributed them to kids and families in need in place of our shopping program. We worked through school counselors and impacted 21 different elementary schools and bought gift cards in denominations of $50 & $100 from Target, Walmart and Kroger. These cards were distributed as needs were identified. Overall a total of 428 school children and families in need were provided gift cards. We also provided 30 $50 gift cards to the children at Calvary Children's Home.
Once again we owe a huge thank you to all of our sponsors and donors who make our children’s events possible. Every dollar donated helps. We also extend a special thanks to Leslie Newlander and her continued sponsorship of our shopping events.

December 2020
As with all of our other programs this year our annual Cops and Kids Shopping Event was greatly impacted by Covid and the restrictions in place to protect our school children. This year we were not able to take any kids shopping for gifts so our pictures are minimal. Instead we decided that we would purchase gift cards and distribute them to kids in need. We worked through school counselors and impacted 17 different elementary schools this year. We bought gift cards in denominations of $50 & $100 from Target, Walmart and Kroger. These cards were distributed as needs were identified. Overall families with a total of 249 school children from our designated schools received the gift cards.
In addition we provided gift cards to the Calvary Children’s Home, families involved with SWAT Santa and families of officers/deputies in need. We also funded meals for local seniors through the Cobb Senior Services, Senior Santa Program. This part of the program impacted 96 school aged children and provided meals to 200 seniors.
We owe a huge thank you to all of our sponsors and donors who made our children’s events possible and a special thank you to Leslie Newlander and her continued sponsorship of our shopping event. We look forward to your continued support in 2021.
